Forecast Discussion

We have a quick, short snap back to winter temperatures as high pressure moves across the Ohio Valley today and to Delaware Friday. After a cold start to Thursday, temperatures are chilly this afternoon then cold in valleys tonight. Friday is marginally milder.

A fast-moving front from the west arrives Saturday. Clouds increase late Friday on a moist SW flow. A few light showers are in play late Friday night until early afternoon Saturday.

The front stalls to our south Sunday, then returns back to the north as a warm front Monday. Sunday and Monday are cool with lots of clouds. Areas of mostly light rain are possible Sunday night . Potential for rain increases Monday night as the warm front moves through.

The next front from the west arrives late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Periods or rain, mostly light, remain in play Tuesday with warmer temperatures.

The airmass behind this front is not very cold. Wednesday has a mild morning, decreasing clouds during the day, and a cool night. We must wait for at least December 10 for a return to more "winterish" temperatures. Mid-December will be more "interesting".
