Forecast Discussion

Snow showers and flurries develop this morning in a chilly NW flow. We'll get a brief glimpse at the sun today, the a few snowflakes are possible again late tonight.

Next week features three lows moving west to east across the Gulf: Monday, Wednesday, and next weekend. The strength of each remains in doubt; however, best thinking at this point is a rather ho-hum week with the potential for a more potent system next weekend. Yesterday, I saw foolish speculation already related next weekend; today's model guidance provides a dose of reality with a weaker/less cold system. Point being... no one knows how next weekend will play out.

Monday's low increases clouds late Sunday. Precipitation will be light in the form of a rain/snow mix or light rain changing to light snow. Precipitation could begin by late Sunday night and end end Monday evening. Marginal temperatures will hamper accumulation. A dusting at most for most; maybe an inch or two at highest elevations.

Wednesday's low brings clouds with flurries possible in the afternoon and evening.

The weekend system increases clouds Friday. Rain or a wintry mix is possible by Friday night.

In between these lows (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), expect quiet weather and chilly temperatures.
