Chilly Saturday
Colder air arrived Friday night leading to a chilly Saturday. Valleys will be colder than mountaintops tonight under mostly clear skies. Clouds increase Sunday, and rain develops Sunday night. Expect periods of rain Monday ending early Tuesday morning. Tuesday promises to be one of the mildest days this month, but we're watching Wednesday night into Thursday for wintry precipitation potential.
Please pardon some broken pages... We completed the move to new servers Friday night. Now, we are in a position to bring back some broken pages; however, getting everything back to "normal" is still probably takes through the end of January.

Forecast Discussion
A dry front moved through Friday and colder air arrived Friday night. Canadian high pressure moves east across the Ohio Valley this weekend into the Atlantic Sunday night. We have a chilly Saturday and milder temperatures by Sunday afternoon. Radiational cooling (light winds and cold air sinking into valleys) makes valleys colder than mountaintops tonight.
Low pressure in the Southwest U. S. moves across the Ohio Valley Monday. It pushes a warm front across the region late Monday. Clouds increase Sunday and rain develops Sunday night. Monday has periods of rain ending late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
The next push of colder air is delayed until Wednesday making Tuesday an unseasonably pleasant day after the rain exits early. Temperatures will trend cooler Wednesday with increasing clouds.
Low pressure in the Western Gulf moves across Georgia early Thursday and into the Atlantic by late Thursday. Precipitation develops Wednesday night as colder air arrives. A wintry mix of precipitation changing to snow with snow showers continuing into Thursday. It's too early serious speculation about snow amounts--light to moderate accumulations is the range of possibilities.
Skies clear Thursday evening. Friday looks mostly clear and seasonably chilly.
