Cool & Damp Evening; Super-Pleasant Thursday
High pressure off the Mid-Atlantic Coast is holding a cool wedge of air over the Southern Appalachians while moisture out of the Southeast overruns the region. A stray, light shower remains possible into the early evening hours. Some fog is possible tonight. Temperatures are steady overnight then soar Thursday as skies become partly cloudy. Unseasonably pleasant weather lingers into Friday, but clouds increase Friday afternoon with stray sprinkles or drizzle possible near the Blue Ridge. The next period of rain comes late Friday night into Saturday morning.
